Proms

Prom night is a formal occasion and most people will be dressed up for the entire evening. Guys typically wear tuxedos, while girls choose formal prom dress. Many girls will also have their hair, nails, and makeup done professionally. Getting ready for prom and traveling to the dance are some of the highlights of the night. With a little preparation you’ll be ready for a prom to remember.

Girls

Make sure you’re ready when your date arrives. Your hair and makeup should be complete and you should be prepared to walk out the door. There is nothing worse than leaving your date alone with your parents in the living room. This can lead to awkward conversation and a great deal of nervousness. Let your parents answer the door, but make sure you’re ready to get going.

Quinceañera

Here are 5 secrets to help you celebrate a fabulous Quince on a budget: planning a Quince on a budget is no easy task. From choosing the perfect dress to elegant decorations, it can all seem overwhelming But what if you were told you can have anything you need for your Quince, customized to your very own personality and style, without breaking your parent’s wallet? Guess what, that dream is very much possible! –

  1. A lot of projects such as quinceañera invitations, decor, party favors you can do them yourself. Make it fun and invite your friends over to tackle each project. Make your Quinceañera decorations pop and reduce your expense by at least 50%.
  2. Use your church arrangements as centerpieces for your tables. You can get a variety of inexpensive vases at a wholesale price set them up at your table with a little bit of water and voila! –
  3. Once you have picked your Quince dream dress, take a pic and visit a seamstress. A seamstress will give you choices on dress materials and beautiful accents plus it will be made just for you! Best of all, you would spend a fraction of the price on your Quince dress. –
  4. Find a decor vendor that can help you with all your needs, from backdrops to center pieces. The perfect vendor knows precisely how you envision the celebration and understands your theme. –
  5. If you are having your quince at a banquet hall, try to look for a banquet hall that allows you to bring your own food.  Check out your favorite restaurants and have them give you a quote.  Usually a small family owned business would do the trick.

Graduations

Graduation is an important academic milestone for any student. It’s an occasion to look back on and celebrate what you’ve accomplished over the years. This is an exciting time, but it can also be an emotional one. There is a lot to juggle as you prepare to close one chapter of your life and begin a new one. As graduation gets closer, it’s normal to feel a little overwhelmed by everything going on. However, by keeping a few key things in mind as you prepare to graduate, you can handle the occasion with ease and success.  Give yourself plenty of time to get ready.  Keep your stress levels low by allowing yourself plenty of time to prepare and dress for the ceremony.

Hair

The whole point of the day is the hat, so you just have to commit to it. You should be mindful that the focus is on your accomplishments and education. The hat is a symbol of that! OK, fine. But ugh hat hair. Today is a special day, the recommendation is to get a blow-dry. It’s inevitably going to be hot and you’ll be sitting for two or more hours—if you want hair that can still look good throughout the day, a blowout will help. Of course, a lot of ceremonies are held first-thing, so you might even consider getting one the night before,  or a wet set, then tying your hair up in a silk scarf before you go to sleep. “But since its summer and hot, you have to be careful with touch-ups, “You don’t want to layer hairspray or dry shampoo. It creates too much texture on the hair.” Instead, pop a mini vial of a lightweight dry oil Moroccan Oil Light) in your purse and run it through the lengths to tame frizz and add shine

Make-up – Once again, it’s all about the cap.

The hat will draw attention to your face, Make sure any glaring issues such as stray eyebrow hairs or pimples are well managed. The brim of the cap will also cast a shadow under your eye, so even if you don’t naturally have under eye circles, you might end up looking like you do. You should definitely consider applying a little extra concealer that day.” In fact, going the extra mile under the eyes will really count; anything to brighten and widen the eyes.  Luminous skin is a must for the cameras. For fool-proof and budge-proof color, sketch your lips in with liner and leave it at that.

  • If you wear makeup, keep it simple.
  • Remember that you’ll be taking lots of photographs, so take care of whatever grooming tasks make you look and feel you’re very best.

Mommy & Me

Mother & Daughter relationships should be cherished and celebrated!

You brushed my hair and tucked me in, made me laugh for hours on end. You kissed my boo-boos when I fooled around. Mommy, you never let me down. You held my hand as I got my shots then took me for ice cream that hit the spot. You bought me Polly-Pockets and Barbie’s too. Mommy, there’s no one quite like you. You held my hand as I walked through the door, Then you met my teacher as I stared at the floor. You told me it’d be fun, and I’d make friends too, And for that reason, Mommy, I love you. You listened to me talk about the drama and boys, and then taught me how to handle it with class and poise. You spoke with wisdom and of things you know. You love to hear me say, “Mommy, you told me so.” You love the Lord with all you heart, and you’re kind and gentle and pretty and smart. If I could be anyone, I’d pick you Cause, Mommy, the world would be better with two of you. You’ve taught me so much, with more in store and with each day that passes, I love you more.
